Privacy
HasteClip has no account and no analytics, and collects nothing about you. Your clips stay on your computer until you share them.
What goes online
- Updates, on Windows and Linux: HasteClip checks its releases on GitHub when it starts and every half hour. You can turn this off in Settings → Updates.
- Game names and icons: about once a week it downloads Discord’s public list of games, and the icons of the games you have. Nothing about you is sent.
- Discord status, only if you turn it on in Settings → Discord: HasteClip tells the Discord app on your computer what you’re recording, and Discord shows it on your profile.
What stays on your computer
- Your recordings, clips and settings.
- What games tell HasteClip for clip names (Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, osu!).
- Your voice, when you say “HasteClip that”: it’s recognised on your computer and never sent anywhere. If you choose to help improve it, short snippets are kept on your computer for you to listen to, and only shared if you export them and send them yourself.
